The Sunbeam was a passing cargo ship that picked up the distress signal sent by the Aurora.
Future Plans
The Sunbeam had planned to land on the Mountain Island to rescue the player, however, before they are able to land, the Precursor Ground-To-Air Weapon System fires a pulse at it, destroying it completely with all hands lost. A particle effect showing debris raining down is displayed afterwards. It is possible that part of the ship will survive the pulse to later crash on the island
